"Talk it Up. Lock it Up." is an annual initiative, in partnership with the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City Schools, designed to provide educational resources to parents that encourage them to talk to their children about the dangers of underage drinking and drug use.  In addition, it provides information about why it is important for adults to secure their alcohol and other drugs do reduce access to substances.
Carpe Diem is a alcohol education program specifically designed for college students who have been charged by law enforcement with an alcohol violation and offered a first offender's deferred prosecution by the District Attorney's Office. For more information about Carpe Diem, visit www.carpediemnc.org

In addition to calling 911, residents of Chapel Hill and Carrboro, can use the Reporting Tip Line as another avenue for parents, teens and neighbors to notify law enforcement regarding problems related to underage drinking and or teen drug use.  The Tip Line is confidential and anonymous.
