Safe Homes Parent Network is a project whose goal is to protect our children from the harmful, often deadly, consequences of alcohol and other drug use. By becoming a member and taking the Safe Homes pledge, you will join hundreds of Chapel Hill and Carrboro parents who are taking a proactive role to keep youth safe from substances.

By signing the pledge, you are agreeing to invite open communication with other members of the Safe Homes Network and working to create a healthy community where underage drinking and other drug use is not tolerated.  This pledge is not a legal document, but a commitment to your child and your community.

Safe Homes Pledge
I will actively supervise all gatherings of youth in my home or on my property, or ask another responsible adult for help to do so.

I will not knowingly allow the possession or use of alcohol, tobacco, or other drugs by youth in my home or on my property.

I will welcome contact from other parents about activities taking place in my home and on my property.

This is not a legally binding contract, but rather an agreement between members of the Safe Homes Parent Network
